00:00--Celebrations--They had a big picnic on the 4th of July with a big ball game for people to watch. They had the traditional big meal on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. They always got something for Christmas, a doll, socks, pants, etc. One year they got a big red wagon but Santa left it at the store, grandpa couldn't get in time for the day. They got a special dinner with cake and ice cream on their birthdays. Sometimes they would get a gift.

3:30--Hot Suppers--They never went to what were called "hot suppers" but they went to events put on by the Women's Auxiliary.
